Upon graduation from Rogers High School I accepted a Navy ROTC scholarship and attended Tulane University. I was commissioned an Ensign the day after receiving my diploma and had orders for flight school. After eight years of active duty service travelling the world I enrolled at the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, served on the Law Review and graduated with honors in 1990.
My first opportunity as a lawyer was in aviation litigation with Gardere & Wynne in Dallas, Texas. After three years in the big city, Julie and I returned to Rogers where I had a general civil practice for eighteen years in what became Matthews, Campbell, Rhoads, McClure, Thompson & Fryauf.
In 2011 I was honored to be appointed by Governor Mike Beebe to serve as a State Circuit Court Judge in Benton County. Since leaving the bench in 2013, I have worked as outside counsel for a major corporation in Northwest Arkansas.
Over the years my law practice has focused on personal injury, business and domestic relations litigation but also includes estate planning, family law and business law.
