Service by helping others has motivated me my entire life. I was taught that by my family—especially my Grandfather, by the Methodist Church, and certainly from the wonderful opportunities I have had in my life.

After graduating from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa in 1982, I worked for a year in the Iowa House of Representatives, seeing first-hand how folks lives can be made better (or worse) by our elected leaders. I then attended the University of Arkansas School of Law, graduating in 1986. While in law school, I was hired as a law clerk by Matthews, Campbell, and Rhoads—and I have been here since, as an associate attorney and now partner. I focus my practice in three areas: Family Law (Divorce, Guardianships, Child Custody, Probates, and Estate Planning); Criminal Law (Traffic Offenses, Misdemeanor Offences, and Felony Criminal Cases); and Real Estate (Landlord Tenant Law, Evictions, and Real Estate Transactions). I am an "A" Rated attorney from the peer ratings of Martindale Hubbell.

Outside the office, I have had the opportunity to serve as Rogers Interim Municipal Judge; Trustee of First United Methodist Church; Chairman of the Rogers Historic District Commission; Past President of Main Street Rogers; Former Member of the Arkansas Bar Association Board of Governors and House of Delegates; Past President of the Benton County Bar Association; Past President of the Rogers Kiwanis Club; Past Chairman of the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation, Inc.; Past President of Arkansas Public Theatre; Board Member of Ballet Arkansas; Past President of Arts Live!
